Sunset camel rides
The light in Agafay is best in the last hour before sunset, when the stone hills turn gold and the Atlas peaks go pink. All three of our options can be timed for it:
- Camel ride, pool and dinner (60€): pickup at 15:00, ride and swim in the afternoon, then dinner with live music and a fire show after dark. Back in Marrakech by about 21:00.
- Quad and camel (105€): afternoon pickup at 15:30, back in Marrakech after sunset.
- Medina, cooking class and desert dinner (135€): the camel ride is around 17:00, before dinner and the fire show.

What the ride is like
The camels in Morocco are dromedaries, with one hump. A guide leads the caravan along the tracks of the Agafay plateau at walking pace, so the ride is gentle and needs no experience. The activity is rated easy, and it suits couples, families and small groups.
